Day 29: More Rest

Yesterday marked week 4, so here are the numbers: 29 miles, 4 days of running (7.25 mi avg.)

Obviously, my mileage took a big hit with this calf strain. I still feel it occasionally when I walk. I think I could probably run a few miles easy starting tomorrow, but since I'm going to San Francisco for the weekend, I figure I'll take a couple extra days and start back fresh on Monday.

This almost week off isn't ideal, but you have to realize not everything is going to go perfect in training and take it all in stride. I know a week from now, I'll be back like nothing ever happened. That's a lot better than rushing back too soon and turning a minor strain into something major.
